MINUTE 60:

TCC:

  • Financial issues between CERN and Julabo : solved, equipment will arrive max 3rd week of January
  • Waiting for Jean-Marc updates on soft and to get back the datas from TCSPM LS2
  • PT100 connectors installed – Régis ordered the connectors

BPM flanges:

  • Test of connectors only are all good, so the problem does not come from connector before welding
  • The welding process from MME is the same as usual and it is the thinner parameters used
  • Hypothesis: local heat can create a leak on the connectors
  • After discussion with S. Sgobba, tomography will be performed on the connectors. A connector that is leaking after welding will be analysed
  • Emilien said that we can extract the connector without damaging the flange with electro-erosion. If we want to analyse the welding, the flange would be destroyed
  • Ositrade order passed
  • Sub D-9 connector to be ordered by Jerome

RF fingers:

  • Hybrid version between TCS and TCSPM: longer than TCSPM to avoid stress, additional screw to avoid stress on welding + lyre for flexibility (design TCSPM with TCS length)
  • Update: adding shorter screws et deeper threads
  • Emilien is proposing mid-March (production ongoing) – Romain is looking for firms to do these fingers
  • Rhodium is stayed on the part (chemical analysis attached to the INDICO)
  • Adjust length of the RF fingers testbench
  • Warning about the limitor and get the adequate space for fingers
  • Weld the testbench support to limit mechanical play

Design:

  • RF fingers: done
  • DN300 flanges with pinch-off: waiting the CDD from VSC
  • Jaw flatness measurement tool -> give the CDD to Dylan for the tooling list
  • TCLP, TCSPM, TCTPM folders: not started
  • Post-proto modifications regarding Dylan’s Excel: ongoing for jaws, done for mechanical table, almost finished for feet
  • Taller feet for IP1: done
  • Switch integration: drawing to be done
  • TCTPXV review and modifications for serie: Emanuel working on it
  • Mechanical table procedure check: ongoing
  • Gabarit for cooling pipes production: ongoing, wait for comments
  • Copper wedges for jaws posing during vacuum test (STI)
  • Check if we can use the same jaw design for TCTPXH as TCLPX (1 week)
  • Taperings drawing done
  • Drawing folders for Brazil in-kind (CNPEM)
  • Mock-up integration

Assembly:

  • TCLPX jaws under metrology to perform flatness measurements post-bakeout
  • TCTPXH jaws disassembled and copper parts under metrology control for additional measurements
  • Vacuum vessel reception 16th of January : Assembly of components before (indexing plates, Screen rails, mechanical tables,…) and Romain need to annotate et check the screws references -> meeting to check the procedure before assembly

Procurement:

  • Inermet blocks production ongoing, arriving at CERN mid-February
  • CuCr1Zr taperings ordered to DEM
  • Romain is checking the stocks for the TCSPM copper parts
  • Vireur received

Production MME:

  • Tanks under control with new references
  • RF screen rail electropolished, metrology done
  • LHCTCLPX__0142 transition support ongoing
  • RF fingers production
  • 2 references for tank missing
  • RF collar modification

Production STI:

  • Jaw flatness measurement tool: ongoing
  • Levelling parts: finished
  • Remaining feets components: ongoing
  • Adaptation for vireur: finished
  • Transitions and pinch-off: not started
  • IPN for tank assembly: assembly to be done
  • TCC rack: done
  • Lifting ears: not started

Update on planning:

Update for the serie:

  • Having a defined and precise mechanical play to let the RF fingers sliding properly
  • Give more thickness to the tanks extremities to avoid deformation
