TMD Parton Branching

We discuss recent developments on QCD parton branching methods which incorporate transverse momentum dependent (TMD) degrees of freedom. Using the example of Drell-Yan vector boson production at the LHC and the associated jet final states, we illustrate results based on matching TMD evolution with perturbative matrix elements, and on multi-jet merging algorithms. We outline future directions to advance the accuracy of theoretical predictions and extend the range of their applicability.
