Description

LHCb UK Seminar: CERN Knowledge Transfer

An overview of the CERN Knowledge Transfer group, from Amanda Diez Fernandez (CERN):

"During this talk I will present CERN Knowledge Transfer Activities. Why do we do Knowledge Transfer in the first place? How do we work to ensure the unique technologies and expertise developed at CERN have the maximum impact they can in society? I will provide several examples of past and ongoing projects, such as our contributions to develop hadron (and electron) therapy facilities to treat cancer, how CERN’s AI expertise is being applied to autonomous driving or how our open hardware time synchronisation technology White Rabbit became a world standard."

This seminar will take place both on ZOOM and in-person, in room 40/S2-B01. Refreshments will be provided.
