Introduction
ACTION: Frank and Graeme to ask about rooms in Valencia for a hackathon.
Milestones are due at the end of the month. ACTION: Frank and Graeme to circulate more details and the report template.
Turnkey Software
Gaussino: "Currently working" = being actively worked on, not that it yet works ;-)
Q. INFN position - is there a link? e.g., could circulate round the Gaudi and RD-multicore lists. A. Not yet, but as soon as it comes it will be circulated.
Q. Lots of progress from our IHEP colleagues - is this being integrated into Key4hep? A. Yes, we are in touch and actively working on this.
Simulation
Q. Can you run inside Geant4 on a GPU with Kubeflow? A. Yes - it's all handled by Onnx or Torch, which will pick the appropriate backend, including using a GPU.
Q. For ONNX, do you need to build GPU support? A. We have an LCG build that includes GPU support, which is what we use.
It would be great to be able to offload in a batched way to GPUs. We think this will work!
Track Reconstruction
FASTOR looks really good - and these are backends that can just be swapped in and out.
Currently using ODD detector data, which is actually a much more realistic example than TrackML. ACTION: We will update the milestone accordingly, Frank and Graeme will follow this.
