1) DDDigi TBB code needs migration to new oneAPI TBB interfaces (Issue 901):
      Clash between Intel oneapi TBB and classic TBB.
      -- Wouter promised to look into.
2) Issue 940: Integration of external library (CRY) for cosmic ray generation in DDG4 simulation: on hold
3) Issue 970: Support for digitization in ddsim: on hold
4) Issue 984: DD4hep output with MarlinDD4hep
5) Issue 985: dummy material exported into gdml is not recognized by Geant4 (waiting for Markus)
6) Issue 988: Propagate cross section to the simulation (on hold)
                        ===> likely a EDM4hep problem
7) Issue 994: Geometry checksum/hash for consistency checks between simulation and reconstruction steps (on hold)
 

Newly pending:
9)   Issue 1014: Issue using optical surfaces
10) Issue 1020: Calorimeter Energy Deposition with Multiple Readout Segmentations
       Energy deposit depends on segmentation (not confirmed by Andre)
11) PR 1011:   Allow HepMC3 ROOT input files in ddsim (W. Deconinck)
12) PR 989:     Automatically interpret hepmc3 input files (W. Deconinck)
 

2)    Closed issues and fixed problems

1) Issue 918: Should be addressed by PR920. Waiting for feedback.
                        HepMC3 reader with Pythia8 Argantyr generator: status checker not implemented
                       ==> addressed by PR 935 (draft) (Andre)
    Related: PR920 Treatment of Ions with Excitation energy (not merged)

2) Issue 921: EDM4hep output MCParticleCollection should be named MCParticle
                       ==>  Solution is to handle the problem in the output writers (Thomas)
3) Issue 1004: DDG4: Particle charge is not properly propagated from the input stage to the output stage (Dropped, Markus)
4) Issue 1010: Changing Geant4 physics flags  (Markus)
5) PR1016: Fix to optical surface example detector driver (Andre) (not merged)
6) PR1017: Allow asymmetric tracking region, default to symmetric (Wouter) (not merged)
7) Issue 1013: Final state particles in HepMC are forced to vertex 0,0,0
                         ===> Addressed by PR 1017 (not merged)
