Operation report:

Francois showed the summary of the Operation log for W32 and 33 for both AD and ELENA machines. Many OP-AD members away or on sick leave.

The availability ranks to 97% with record intensities, up to 4.10^7 pbars per bunch extracted from AD. few issues, related to one FUG power supply trip, and vacuum pressure spike in LNE07 transfer line to BASE, that triggered the closure of the safety fast valves.

The faulty FUG power supply was replaced, which seems to have settled the issue.

The pressure burst cause is being investigated but could not yet be correlated to any spark recorded. More details are needed in  the power supplies log to investigate further.

AEgIS RP measurements

Claudia reported on the recent RP measurements for the dose in the AEgIS zone, which is known to be one of the limiting factors for higher intensities in AD machine, if we want to keep the experimental area with the supervised classification.

These measurements follow a vigorous shielding improvement campaign that was undertaken during YETS 21-22. They show a significative improvement, up to factor 3.5.

There still could be some room for improvement, by blocking some holes at the bottom of the shielding wall and possibly improving the wall upstream of the zone. This could prove useful for the future if one wants to go for higher intensities or shorter repetition rates. Possibilities will be investigated

AOB's:

Wolfgang showed the damper resistors that are installed in the vacuum tube to limit propagation of the waves around stochastic cooling kicker system. Not all positions where such resistors are installed are known, and Wolfgang asked to people knowing anything about the installed locations, to contact him or TE-VSC. Alexandre added that he has extracted a large number of drawings to check for presence of these resistors. More info to come.

Roberto indicated that the refurbishment of the experiments side crane will also imply some unavailability on the ELENA side crane, sometime early January in particular. This will have  to be checked against the activities planning, although does not seem  to interfere at this stage.

Alexandre asked if the YETS planning is known, Francois indicated that it will shortly be installed on the ACE server, and the link will be sent around to the ADTC e-group.
