Description

The general subject of the workshop is quantum gravity, in its mathematical and formal aspects, in its physical applications, in particular in the context of cosmology, and its conceptual and epistemological ramifications. More precisely, this workshop is going to cover the following topics:

- Categorical ideas and methods in quantum gravity,
- Thermodynamical aspects of classical and quantum gravity, including the thermal time hypothesis,
- Effective models of quantum gravity and quantum cosmology,
- Philosophy of space and time and epistemological aspects of quantum gravity.

The workshop will set the framework for new collaborations between researchers working on such fundamental issues, as well as strengthening the ties among research institutes involved.
