Note that the IRIS-HEP 5-year institute renewal review is May 1-2.
NSF announced and Midscale Research Infrastructure - R2 solicitation: https://www.nsf.gov/pubs/2023/nsf23570/nsf23570.htm?WT.mc_ev=click&WT.mc_id=&utm_medium=email&utm_source=govdelivery Targets $20-100 million dollar proposals (total over up to 5 years). Any ideas for how to propose something complementary to IRIS-HEP and our Facilities and Distributed Computing?
For the SciTags (packet and flow marking) work, we need to identify a site who uses Xrootd and is connected to LHCONE via ESnet. Would SWT2 be interested in participating? For US CMS we are considering contacting Nebraska.
