      VO Liaison CMS 1m
Speaker: Katy Ellis (Science and Technology Facilities Council STFC (GB))

Katy is investigating tape transfers that failed earlier in the week. Suspects that it's related to data trying to arrive without asking for 'approval' in Rucio - hence not having tape family assigned. Nevertheless, Mihai wanted to get feedback from the xrootd developers on the error message seen. There were also a couple of other curiosities Katy followed up with CMS DM.  (e.g. was 'cancel-requests' functionality broken? - answer: no)

James W did a test on one of the AAA proxies (ceph-gw10) to see if the token tests would 'just work' since he already has a solution for davs. However, it seems that the xrootd solution is different to the davs solution and further work is needed to cater for tokens with an xrootd endpoint. Katy had the xrootd test suite added to the test GW ceph-dev-gw4 and JW will look at making a solution when he finds time.

CMS saw a slight drop in running cores this morning due to the WN patching campaign, but appear to be back to full strength again now.
