The Lagrangian formulation of quantum field theories has field parameterization redundancies --- generic field redefinitions will change the Lagrangian but leave physical amplitudes invariant. This naturally fits into a geometric picture, where different field parameterizations are different choices of coordinates on the field space manifold, while the amplitudes are geometric invariants. In this talk, I will review the well-established field space geometry picture for amplitudes, and a number of its applications. I will then introduce a generalization of it to accommodate field redefinitions with derivatives.
