Description

The search for long-lived particles (LLPs) is an exciting avenue for probing beyond Standard Model physics, owing to their abundance in many well-motivated new physics models. Triggering is a crucial step in the experiment to ensure we do not miss out on interesting events at the very beginning. In this talk, I will discuss the challenges faced in developing dedicated triggers for LLPs and how we can overcome them at the HL-LHC. I will also discuss the prospects of dedicated LLP detectors at the FCC-hh.
