North Area Foil Calibration Results 10mSpeaker: Maarten Van Dijk (CERN)
-Goal was to redo the calibration of the intensity monitors of the T2, T4 and T6 targets
-Put beam through metal foils and record signals in the SEM monitors
-Measure activation with gamma spectrometer, compare to recorded signals => calibration
-Irradiation performed on 14 april
-Foils placed around 10:00-10:15, irradiation started around 11:30, finished around 13:00.
-Took in total 229 spills, between 3.1-3.3e14 POT for each foil stack
-Cooldown and ventilation for RP
-Foils removed then start with regular beam commissioning
-Foils have been measured by RP, I have the results, to be analysed and full update to follow.
-Many thanks to all involved, specifically Michael Lazzaroni, Florent Philippon, Nabil Menaa

- Access on Tuesday and we continued our regular user operation last week. The same is expected for this week. T8 beam is very good, very good profile and transmission.
Offline news from CLOUD:
- CLOUD16T technical run proceeds, and is confirmed to end on Monday 15 May. Removal and shipping out of the measurement instruments during that week. This will free up floor space at the entrance area next to CLOUD as of late May. The next run, CLOUD16 physics run, is then due as of September. In June - August the only major operation should be the installation of an air extraction for CLOUD chemical lab's fume hood. Installation details and schedule remain to be confirmed with EN-CV, contact person: Guillaume Raimondi. CLOUD's contact person: Robert Kristic, EP-DT.
