National and international travel

Travel to Victoria by plane is usually through Vancouver (10-15 flights per day between Vancouver and Victoria).

There is one flight a day from Seattle on Alaska.  Note that flying through the United States will require clearing US immigration and customs.

One can get to Victoria by car/passenger ferry from either Vancouver or Seattle (the ferry takes 100min plus travel time to the terminals).

There is also a float plane from Vancouver or Seattle, but it is challenging to link the float plane with other connecting flights and the flights require good visibility (visual flight rules).

Transportation from the airport

The Victoria airport is 30 km from the centre of the city and taxis can be C$70-80 one way.

The ride sharing company Uber is available at the Victoria airport

Rental cars are an attractive option but on-campus parking is limited.

Victoria International Airport is served by BC Transit. Airport public transportation
