      Preparation of SC23 demos and DC24 mini-challenges 30m

Presents: Edoardo Martelli, Mario Lassnig, Shawn McKee, Dale Carder, Richard Yang, Katy Ellis, Joe Mambretti, Thomas Araneta, Tim Chown, Assif Shah, Ofer Rinf, Eric Brown, Phil Demar, Bill Johnston, Annie Gu, Karl Newell, Vitaly Kondratenko , Petr Vokac, Liz Sexton-Kennedy, Andy Lake, Doug Southworth, Tom Lehman, Ofer Rind,James Walder, Duncan Rand, Christoph Wissing, Bruno Hoeft, ABH (and possibly others).

      DC24
      - Shawn presents the slides just shown to DOMA general meeting few minutes before:
      https://indico.cern.ch/event/1301513/contributions/5472404/attachments/2678902/4647246/DC24%20Planning%20and%20Near%20Term%20Activities.pdf
      - Proposals for the projects to validate during DC24 will be collected by the next DOMA (end of August).
      - In the slide Shawn shows an example of a project (packet marking): description, objectives, timeline, metrics
      - Each proposal should also define the monitoring needed to evaluate the success of the activity. If such monitoring is not available, the proposal should also clarify how it will be implemented
      - Edoardo asks for people willing to take responsibility for a project to fill a proposal for DOMA
      - Shawn and Marian will be the contact people for the PAcket Marking project
      - Edoardo and Carmen will do for NOTED and the account marked flows with P4 switches
      - Tom Lehamn will be the contact person for the SENSE/Rucio project
      - Richard Yang will work on the global visibility with perfSONAR and integration with Rucio
      - DOMA has called for a pre-DC24 workshop. Tentative date is 8-9 November at CERN. It's the week before SC23
      - CERN is working on setting up Jumbo frames for a bunch of EOS servers at CERN, to better understand pros and cons. If successful and ready on time, use of Jumbo at CERN could be one of the proposal
      - In fact DC24 should last two weeks and there should be time also to compare performance with and without new technologies
      - Pre-Mini challenges are very welcome and if their results could be presented at the pre-DC24 workshop that would be very good.
      - NRENs can also take responsibility of a propsal and work to make it happens with the collaborations of WLCG people.
