Description

In this talk, I will give an overview of the most recent experimental results on cosmic rays and multi-messengers in the ultra-high energy range. I will highlight the outcomes from the world's largest cosmic ray experiment, the Pierre Auger Observatory, and discuss the global coherent view they provide, which appears to be much more complex than previously thought. The powerful multi-messenger approach is shown to provide more information about the sources of UHECR and to search for signatures of physics beyond the Standard Model. The new perspectives opened up by the current results have led to upgrades of the current detectors and to new proposals which will be presented in the last part of the talk.
