Waiting for the next collider? Do not look further, get hands-on with real e+e- data now!
In this workshop, you will work have a chance to compare real collision data from e+e- and pp collisions. You will see how to measure the Z boson width and learn what makes the precision in the e+e- data analysis in comparison with hadron colliders.
We will be using Python tools in Jupyter notebooks and data from the DELPHI and CMS experiments.
Take note that this is not a tutorial for HEP-specific analysis tools. The data files are in the csv (comma separated values) format, derived from the original research-level data sets. For analysis, simple tools from pandas, numpy and scipy packages are used.
