Description
In recent years, LHCb has become an important contributor to the understanding of the QCD medium through the study of ultra-relativistic proton and ion collisions. Its forward kinematic coverage and singular ability among the LHC collider experiments to operate in both collider and fixed-target mode provide access to previously unexplored nuclear collision systems and regions of phase space.
This talk will feature recent results from the LHCb heavy-ion program utilizing a wide variety of probes: quarkonia, open heavy-flavour baryons and mesons, exotic hadrons, light flavour and nuclei. In addition, the seminar will introduce new studies that significantly expand the heavy-ion program, including nucleus identification and the first measurement of charged hadron flow in PbPb collisions at LHCb.

Refreshments will be served at 10:30
