XRootD Developers Meeting - 27 Sep 2023

• XRootD 5.6.3
  • Need release with bugfix for issue #2088
  • Minor documentation and other miscellaneous fixes
  • Need investigation into issue #2023 before releasing
• XRootD 5.7.0
  • CERN Summer Student improvements to testing infrastructure
  • RPM/DEB packaging rewrite, and new CI based on that (too big to go on a patch release)
  • Update minimum and default RSA key length (bits)
• Migration of RPM/DEB repositories and mirroring at SLAC

    • Need also to create new GPG key for signing RPMs (current one is not usable with EL8 and EL9)

  • Include TPC shell script from puppet into XRootD?
