Challenge Based Innovation (CBI) is a project course where multidisciplinary student teams and their instructors collaborate with researchers in the ATTRACT funded R&D&I projects and people at CERN to discover novel solutions for the future of humankind. The projects are an elaborate mixture where societal, human-driven needs meet research in detection and imaging.

In CBI A3, is led by Swinburne University of Technology, and features students from Hochschule Mannheim (Germany), Pace University (USA) and Swinburne University of Technology (Australia) working in teams to create and prototype ideas for the future that connect ATTRACT and CERN technologies with 2030 UN Sustainable Development Goals.
