There is a large number of training resources for newcomers in the field of High Energy Physics. The HSF Training group together with IRIS-HEP has started to compile a curriculum of such training modules that helps to get beginners up to speed quickly. However, the current listing in the form of a static table is quickly becoming overwhelming, and we cannot include many resources because of space limitations.
At the same time, there is a need for more sophisticated examples and howto-guides to demonstrate the usage of the increasingly complex Scikit-HEP python ecosystem. An "analysis gallery" (loosely inspired by the matplotlib plot gallery) could help to show how the various packages work together.
Finally, it could be beneficial to have a place to share "code snippets" that can be linked to, searched, and kept for reference.
This project will be about creating a website that lists training and documentation content in a way that can be filtered by attributes such as programming language, common tasks, type of training, HEP experiment, etc. One of the inspirations is https://learn.astropy.org/ that collects tutorials for the astropy package.
