3MeV Emittance meter
- Python code has been updated.
- HT bias remains to be updated, Richard should be done in a week.
- Need to launch a test scan. Could have bugs causing the 45keV meter equipment settings to be changed. Need to plan a dry-run, preferentially when no critical 45keV operation. Edgar said that we should test from 26/09-31/10, as the LEBT is dismantled.
- Richard will add that the command line switch to chose the emittance meter is a mandatory input, without default setting.
- Might need to tune some scan configuration to get best accuracy - Giulia sent the original instructions (see pdf attached to meeting).
- Output data -> post –> analysis. No modification has been made to the code. Edgar forwarded that files are in /user/l4tst/is04_550 and which Richard can use to check.
- How are files treated? Directly read in by a Python plotting/analysis application.
- Can you treat data from a dry-run? Yes. A blank file can be treated. Also we should make a temporary version with some dummy data (high signals on some wires) to test the processing.
- Magnet tests
All magnets/converters were tested by MSC/EPC. - Controls integration is done, now should be test. Giulia will find out the currents expected on the solenoids, and Richard will make a 8h heat run on each magnet.
- Are there any test scenarios we can dry-run? Giulia will consider any further testing scenarios, which we can apply in October.
