✨ Hackathon: ElasticSearch and Training Center

🚀 Goals

There will be two sessions:

1. ElasticSearch (or an introduction to DB for HEP)

This is the kick-off session for new training material on ElasticSearch. Here's the pitch:

HEP and Nuclear Physics are data-driven fields. The growth of data to handle encourages to adapt to modern data management practices in all the steps of the data processing chain. We will aim to provide the basic knowledge and skills necessary to harness the full potential of databases.

2. HSF Training Center (web development)

Following up from https://indico.cern.ch/event/1317785/, we will take a look at several prototypes of a new training center that were created as part of GSoC qualification tasks. The goal is to select one that we start to adapt and continue developing. Anyone with knowledge in JS, HTML, or CSS is especially invited.

Please send your github usernames to kilian.lieret@posteo.de, so we can add you to the repository.

Hoping to see many of you on Monday!

🤗 Recognition!

We want to make your contribution visible. If you make non-trivial contributions to the HSF Training mission (e.g. work on something during the hackathon), you can add your profile to the HSF Training Community. You can then also add your avatar to the list of contributors that you saw on the front page of the training module.
