ADTC MEETING
CERN
Lajos gives feedback on the past weeks, since the last meeting. Record intensities have been delivered to the expeiments, up to 1e7 pbars per experiments per shot. Nevertheless, a number of issues were encountered with the quad trims, that seem to be solved after the latest intervention. Most recently, it is the magnetic horn that has encountered problems. It is currently operated at lower voltage to avoid flashovers. A visit on side will be organized during next stop of PS to check and plan the intervention for the YETS. Meanwhile, the AD delivers 80% of its maximum intensity, which is considered acceptable by the experiments.
Sven indicated the activities planned in AD target area during the YETS. Not much is planned, but this could be revised depending on the analysis of the horn faults.
Francois gave a summary of the updated YETS activities planning in the AD/ELENA complex (see https://oss-coordination.web.cern.ch/gantt/latest?facilities=AD/ELENA&scale=week&worktypeproject=)
The cryogenic plant stop indicated in the planning is correct. The demineralized water disruptions schedule is slightly modified, as reflected in the planning .
The BTV cameras will be replaced in ELENA too, on the 18th Dec. This is added to the planning.
An intervention is requested on the former ATRAP 2 zone, that will affect all access systems, including GBAR linac. It is decided offline to perform this on the 22nd December, in agreement with GBAR who is the only experiment at this time to possibly require to lock the zone.
Offline, the SCADA stop is synchronized with AUG and autotransfer tests on 16th-19th Dec. Update is still planned for 16th January.
