Description

We will discuss $H \to h_{125} h_{125}$ and $X \to Y h_{125}$ decays from the experimental and theory perspectives. We will present an overview of the current status of the experimental searches at the LHC. The latest results using the full Run 2 dataset will be shown and discussed. Some common data analysis methods will be presented, along with an outlook for improvements in the future. We will demonstrate the relevance of the inclusion of interference effects and higher-order corrections to triple Higgs couplings in $H \to h_{125} h_{125}$ for a realistic analysis. For $X \to Y h_{125}$ we will focus on the $3.5~\sigma$ excess at $h_{650} \to h_{95} h_{125}$. We will discuss the comparison of different decay channels and a possible model interpretation.

Agni Bethani is an experimental particle physicist and a member of the CMS collaboration. In the past she was also a member of the ATLAS. She began her research career searching for the Higgs boson in the di-tau final state in CMS. Since then, her work revolves around the exploration of the Higgs sector, with a particular focus on Higgs pair production. After many years of research in several Universities and Institutions in Europe and the US, Agni is now a professor at UCLouvain in Belgium.

Sven Heinemeyer received his Diploma and PhD at the university of Karlsruhe, Germany. He was postdoc at DESY (Hamburg), Brookhaven Natl. Lab., LMU Munich and CERN. He then moved to Spain, where he holds a Research Professor Position with CSIC at the IFT (Instituto de Fisica Teorica) in Madrid. He was head of the LHC Higgs Working Group 2012-2014 and is working on the phenomenology of BSM Higgs sectors at the (HL-)LHC, future e+e- colliders and other experiments.
