- We agreed that the date of the site visit is fixed to April 15-19, 2024;
- Mohamed will check with the regional authorities about the possibility of doing a learner's program during the site. He will report back by the end of November. If we do a learners program during the site visit, we will also do not another learners program during the July events. Th program will be designed appropriately considering the learner participants in 2 both events (April or July). The teachers program in be only in July as originally planned.
- Local support and sponsorship: an audience with the Minister of Education is expected soon and that will trigger directives to the universities for support for ASP2024. At Cadi Ayyad, the authorities are aware of the coming ASP2024 and have been already engaged in advertising it. While expecting an audience with the Minister, the universities, Academy, CNSRT, and other institutions should be contacted by December 15, 2023—they should be informed on the upcoming site visit, the July event and the request to do a learners program during the site visit. A request for the patronage of the King's Palace should be once the universities and academy are informed.
- Timeline of ASP activities and engagements: We are bit late in preparation according the timeline; So we are asking for cooperation from everyone in their respective talks and actions.
- Poster: the LOC will be prepared an updated version and circulate it to the IOC first. Kétévi will send to the LOC an updated list of the IAC. Some comments on the poster:
- Insert the 'Scientific Program' section before 'Topics & Activities,' and make 'Topics & Activities' a subsection under the 'Scientific Program' heading;
- Replace the used bullets with smaller circle bullets;
- Increase the font size of the 'ASP Introduction' and 'Scientific Program' sections;
- Decrease the font size of the 'IOC', 'IAC' and 'LOC' sections;
- If possible, to make the Africa map bigger;
- Use real pictures of Marrakesh instead caricatures;
- Add institutional affiliations for the members of the LOC;
- Improve the background image of the poster.
