ATLAS Detector Description Winter Workshop will take place at Tour Lombarde, Conthey, Switzerland, from January 29 to February 2, 2024. During the previous workshop on October 25-28, 2023, at CERN we produced the “Procedures and Roles” document, laying out the path to integrating the new DD infrastructure with Athena and putting it into production.
During the Winter Workshop, we aim to:
- Implement the plans described in the “Procedures and Roles” document
- Integrate key people into their roles
- Put the new DD workflow into practice
- Assist other groups in their efforts toward subsystem implementation,
improvement of tools for DD, and any other goal. - Prepare for software week meetings
Space at the workshop venue is limited to ~12 people each day. Based on our with previous previous workshops, this should be sufficient. If necessary, we will break the workshop into several sessions, and arrange things so that all interested people may attend.
