Description
In a recent discussion with LHC machine coordination, the main scenario discussed in our previous meeting (see minutes from Thomas) https://edms.cern.ch/document/2953367/0.5) was discarded because in current HL-LHC start sequence [official LS3 start W47 2025] it is not possible to access the Q1-TAXS region february (W7).
In short, this means that current situation is that there’s no possibility of doing the disconnection of the TAS and Q1 in P5 with the machine at warm without jeopardizing CMS LS3 works and the only scenario that would allow an early intervention seems to be an intervention with the IT lock-out at 20K. In this meeting, we need to dig on the sequence and associated risks before taking a decision.
