The Big Science market in Europe is young and not yet fully mature, with still a great potential of development and growth. Also, there is little knowledge formally collected about industrial clustering in the field.
For the last two years, the BIGINN project has been working to structure and boost this market across Europe, by facilitating pan-European Big Science events, investigating and applying new services for companies and benchmarking Big Science clusters with other business areas.
The webinar will open a discussion with Industrial Liaisons Officers and other stakeholders, and some of the conclusions from BIGINN project will be outlined.
The BIGINN project was launched with the following goals:
- Improve SMEs global competitiveness by establishing international relations and collaborations.
- Employ cluster mobility schemes to implement cross-fertilization of innovation opportunities in different clusters;
- Strengthen and professionalize the cluster management skills in the new area of Big Science clusters;
Participants: Big Science ILOs (Industrial Liaisons Officers); purchasing and innovation representatives from Big Science facilities (CERN, ITER, etc.); other stakeholders.
