Minutes of ROOT Team Meeting 17 March
=====================================
News: Rene
----
-Timur visit in the past two weeks. Very successfull.
Timur has restructed the GL viewers (GL in PAD and native GL Viewer)
to use a common trunk. Performance in pad is very good.
The object editors in all viewers are now identical and follow
the xxxxEditor convention.
Timur is now working in a generalisation of the GL-in-pad viewer
such that any 2-d primitive can be drawn in the 3-d viewer.
Timur will come back in June.
-We had discussions last week with a team from Atlas
(Andreas HOECKER,Helge Voss, Kai Voss) developing the TMVA
package (Multi Variate Analysis). The package is already
at sourceforge. Adaptation to ROOT is ongoing (changing their
naming conventions, etc). If all OK, we will have a new package "tmva"
-A lot of progress has been achieved recently in the area of
Event Displays; superb demo by Mateus Tadel at the Alice week.
We are now developing a new container class specialized to view
a large number of hits/clusters with quick (sliders) selections.
