Last week #833M was recuperated from irradiation but failed. When plugging it into the MEDICIS FE, the vacuum could not be done and the water leaked inside the S3 which then leaked in S2. An issue with the target itself and not the FE station was confirmed. Some cleaning was performed last week but the water and FE was counting, so waiting for some decay to finalise cleaning in S2 this week.

The Tb run was cancelled and reported to later in June. 

MEDICIS got a 1h30 irradiation to activate Ta samples in order to perform release studies.

This week, some stable Tb beam tests are ongoing to reproduce the condition of the external source run that gave 6.2% efficiency.

We recuperated the samples to proceed with the release study starting from tomorrow.

Next week, on Monday we have the visit of the Minister of Health from Germany.

Upcoming, dates to be confirmed but likely around mid-June some scaffolding will go up around b.179 in order to proceed with the repair of the roof.

Also waiting on dates to be confirmed for the cooling upgrades to b.179, proposed for last week of June, waiting on a response/negotiations from the contractors

14:40 → 14:50 Targets, Schedule and Physics

 Physics

• On HRS, Wisard (weak interactions study using beta-delayed protons of 32Ar) was happy despite only collecting around half of the statistics. They need to discuss whether they would like to come back for the remaining data.
• On GPS, the IDS run to measure beta-delayed neutrons of 132,134In is going well up till now. The new neutron-detectors are working as expected.

Published schedule

• Cancelledation of LOI207 in June and yield measurements with Nb foil target foreseen next week.
•  New visualisation (see figure for example, final version to be published on ISOLDE website next week)
