      RILIS 10m
Speakers: Cyril Bernerd (CERN), Katerina Chrysalidis (CERN), Reinhard Heinke (CERN)

RILIS operation from last week : Mg for MIRACLS.
      - Laser system ready on Monday night. Optimization performed on Tuesday morning.
      - System stable most of the run, except for a few stabilization problems, but corrected from home or by the users.
      - A dye change was necessary over the Saturday to Sunday night (call at 1:45am, end of intervention around 3:50am).
      - Another call on Sunday but it was not a laser problem in the end.

RILIS setup for the coming week : Ca for COLLAPS.

      - 2/3 of the laser system was setup in parallel of the Mg run last week.
      - Last laser was setup yesterday. Problem with temperature of the dye circulator was noticed this morning, and a circulator change is ongoing to optimize long term performances.
      - Alignment and optimization this afternoon or tomorrow.

      MEDICIS & Building 179 10m
Speakers: Charlotte Duchemin (CERN SY/STI/RBS), Laura Lambert (CERN), Ralf Erik Rossel (CERN)

      MEDICIS (collaboration board today)

No access was permitted last year due to air conditionning system installation leading to a ventilation cut.

On Monday (yesterday), #872M has been loaded with UCx for Cu-67 run happening this week. It will be a first try, with lasers (thank you Ralitsa for the assistance with that). Cu-67 is very low supply and high demand in Europe. MEDICIS will assess the potential we have to supply Cu-67 in Europe thanks to this first run.

Next week, we have an irradiation of #804M between Monday and Tuesday, for a Tb run involving S.Collins from NPL coming on-site to measure low activty Tb collections directly on site.

      Targets, Schedule and Physics 10m
Speakers: Hanne Heylen (CERN), Mia Au, Sebastian Rothe (CERN)

      Schedule

      • Cancellation of IS721 and IS725 due to suspension of all activities in GLM/GHM area
      • Intervention HT room
      • Feedback round for schedule from September -> December.

      Physics

      ·         On GPS, we irradiated a target for collections of 135Cs to be used at the n_ToF facility. Unfortunately, the actual collections couldn't take place due to temporary suspension of activities in the GLM area.

      ·         On HRS, the MIRACLS setup used stable beam to commission their setup and troubleshoot all problems. Since everything went very well, they took radioactive Mg and proved a sensitivity of around 30 ions/cycle, which mean they are in very good shape for the real run in fall.

      * Stable beam for Miniball went well, after the intial discovery of the cable in the beam, the data collected was good.
