      MEDICIS

      • Last week #872M UCx, Ta was irradiated for production of K-43;
      • We got again vacuum issues after irradiation but could still extract some K-43, even if not with the highest efficiency due to the vacuum issue;
      • This week we have loaded ThC inside #848M and placed it on the MEDICIS FE. The target reached a very good vacuum of 5E-7 mbar. We intend to irradiate it indirectly on HRS from Friday until Tuesday morning for a Ra-224/225 run next week.
      • Gas system work ongoing today and tomorrow.

       

      179

      • There will be some work on the roof on Thursday morning for placing the additional cooling unit. Please dont access 179 between 10 and 12 for safety reasons.

      • Unfortunately, the Miniball run using 134SnS beams was cancelled.
      • IDS took this opportunity to explore several regions in the nuclear chart using the same target (but not molecular S beams). They got a few nice results
       
      ## Schedule
      • It seems runs in GLM/GHM area are cancelled for the rest of the year, I will ask for a derogation for the 135Cs collections.
