  • 2 layer shield:
    • design updfated by Louise to assure that straight part is located properly inside the magnet. 
    • Louise will see if the DSS can produce parts (former) in the STI workshop. 
    • Get input from Robert on how it could be produced artisannally. 
  • Miro to contact Giovanni on the delay to decide if we reproduce the MgB2 shield
  • Friedrich sent photographs of the brazing surface of the HTS tape on the round tube tested in 2017 to Dani.

Outstanding:
- Update PSI if they can use the circular NbTi/Nb/Cu shield to modify it into small diametre, thick walled, tube. Jan to send him an email in February.
- Waiting for the results of HTS tape sample test by M. Eisterer taken from the round tube tested in 2017. Should assure the sample taken from the tube was undamaged when removing it from the tube.

      - Development of wax impregnation will become separate paper (planned for 2024)
      - QWS write up status (Dani to check with Martin). Martin will try to derive some quantitative parameters from the FREIA test, but not before February.

      Shields:
      - 2 layer tube:
      -- Half-moon tube made of Nippon multilayer material; Small strip (12 mm wide) junctions shall not be opposite a Hall sensor. Central former to be made of Copper.
      -- Louise will launch job at main work-shop. Photos to be taken at critical steps (Louise, not delegated to main workshop).
      UoM multi-layer material status.
