The joint GridPP51 and Swift-HEP Collaboration Meetings will take place between Monday 25th and Wednesday 27th March 2024.

There will be a face to face PMB meeting on Monday the 25th of March, 1-5pm in the Hicks Building, Sheffield S3 7RH. 

The Collaboration Meeting will take place between 26th-27th March at Conferencing – The Edge, Sheffield.

GridPP will hold a meeting on Tuesday morning and there will then be a joint session with Swift-HEP on Tuesday afternoon. Then on Wednesday morning there will be a GridPP and a Swift-HEP session, and a Swift-HEP session on Wednesday afternoon.

By Car

Sheffield is well served by public transport and it has excellent

links with the rest of the UK. If you choose to travel by car,

please be aware that parking is limited at The Edge and cannot

be guaranteed. You can park at The Edge, subject to availability,

and must display a conference permit available from your event

organiser. There is also some on street parking, but please pay

attention to any parking restrictions.

 

From the north, south and east (M1, M18)

Approach Sheffield on the M1 and leave the motorway at

Junction 33, following the City Centre signs along the dual

carriageway A630/A57/A61 Parkway for approximately

10 minutes. At Park Square move into the second lane and take

the third exit sign posted A61(S), along Sheaf Street. Following

the Ring Road and University signs, turn right onto St Mary’s

Road/A61. At the roundabout go straight on. Follow the signs

to the ring road and continue straight on as far as Brook Hill

roundabout and take the first exit (Western Bank). Continue

for about one mile, past the main University campus and the

Children’s Hospital. Go straight on at all the traffic lights, and

continue ahead into Fulwood Road. The Endcliffe Village will be

signposted and you should turn left onto Endcliffe Crescent.

 

From the west (A57 Snake Pass)

Follow the ‘City Centre’ signs. About 300 metres after the

BP filling station, turn right into Shore Lane. At the bottom,

turn left and take the first right onto Endcliffe Crescent.

The Endcliffe Village is about 100 metres on your right.

 

From Sheffield Train Station and the City Centre

Sheffield is at the heart of the railway network. Regular services

operate between Sheffield and London St Pancras (2 ¼ hours),

Birmingham (1 ¼ hours), Leeds (1 hour), Manchester (1 hour)

and Nottingham (1 hour). The Sheffield bus interchange is a

short walk away from the train station.

 

Bus

The Endcliffe Village is well served by public transport with

frequent bus services to and from the City Centre. For more

Please note, the 120 Stagecoach bus does not go to Fulwood

Road. Please take the 120 First bus.

 

Taxi

There are taxi ranks at the Railway Station and the City Hall.

The journey to The Edge can take up to 20 minutes at busy times.
