Discussion around the PC location

2 location identified

extension of 918/annex of target complex buidling (top of ECN3)  and extension of BA82

918(or attached to target complex building)

advantages:

  • short cables
  • reuse of free cable tray on service pit

disadvantages:

  • everything need to be bring up to this new buidling
  • dedciated coolin plant

 

BA82

advantages:

  • cooling and ventilation system already present (capacity to be checked)
  • timing present
  • simpler in term of exploitation

disadvantages:

  • Some work need to be performed during LS3

 

SY-EPC express a strong wish on having the posibility to add an extensionto BA82 to group all PC in the same building

Cooling load needed to asses faisability to add power converter in BA82 extension
