The meeting will take place in person and everyone is invited to the Council Chamber.
However, if you will not be able to attend in person, there is a Zoom room to participate remotely.
The main objective of the Club is to be a focal point for climbers at CERN to meet and organise their activities, to share information about climbing locations and facilities in the region, and to organise social and cultural events that promote climbing as a way of integrating in the wider CERN community.
Furthermore, the club aims to encourage safe practices by organising, in collaboration with local guides and local climbing gyms, climbing and safety courses for beginners and by informing its members on insurance solutions.
An annual membership fee of 20 CHF is required by the members, in order to support club activities.
The members of the club are amateur climbers, without any formal climbing training. In view of this, the CERN Climbing Club does not directly organise any climbing activities but rather serves as an intermediary, organising climbing courses and other activities via local climbing guides and gyms.
