Are you a CMS member without a permanent position? Would you like to talk to senior scientists directly to listen to their advice on how to obtain a permanent position in academia? Or would you like to suggest ideas on how we can improve collaboration life?
Come along to our Coffee with Senior Scientists event on Tuesday 6th February, 11:00-12:00 CET!
Co-organised by the CMS Young Scientists Committee and the Career Committee, and in collaboration with the CMS Communications Office, the event provides CMS members with an extra opportunity to talk to senior scientists about their careers informally over coffee.

This time, all four candidates of the spokesperson election will be joining, so you can talk to them directly during the voting period! More information about the election timeline can be found on slide 16 of this presentation.
If you have feedback for the candidates on how we can improve collaboration life but cannot attend the event, or would prefer to provide it annonymously, please use the annonymous Indico feedback surveys on the pages linked next to their names on the 'Meet the Senior Scientists' tab.
The event will be in hybrid format, held on the ground floor of B40 and over Zoom breakout rooms.
The Zoom room for remote attendees can be found here and, after joining the main room, you will then be able to select the Zoom breakout room for the senior scientist you wish to talk to. While not compulsory, we highly encourage attendees who connect via Zoom to have their webcams turned on. This helps to facilitate communication and makes things much friendlier.

Free food and drink will be provided for in-person attendees, including cakes we have purchased from the Women in Technology's bake sale. The bake sale will take place between 12:00 and 14:00 CET on the same day in R2, and raises money for the charity Aid For All!
Coffees and croissants will also be provided, kindly funded by CMS Technical Coordination.
