In this talk, Ioannis Kazas will present his research activities related to pioneering sensors, electronics and data acquisition systems for the CMS Silicon Detector. The contribution to the Phase 2 Upgrade of the CMS Tracker Detector will be presented, focusing on the R&D project for the development and characterization of innovative Silicon Strip Sensors as well as the evaluation of readout electronics for Pixel Sensors. Additionally, the development of the Data Acquisition System for the Tracker Detector will be discussed, highlighting significant milestones achieved thus far. Furthermore, associated research activities will be addressed, involving the development of scintillator - silicon photomultiplier systems for Space radiation field measurements and detectors for radioactive source localization.
