Virtual visit of the Antimatter Factory

Europe/Zurich
Description

In this virtual visit, a CERN scientist will share with you the mysteries of antimatter: why it poses a big problem to our theoretical understanding of the Universe, how we can create it in the lab, the engineering challenges of storing it long enough to study it, and what we have found out so far about it! We'll then take you through CERN's Antimatter Factory -- the only place in the world where antiatoms are produced on a daily basis.

Join this exclusive online event to find out more. We are offering 2 identical virtual visits (at 9am and at 5pm CEST, Central European Summer Time) to allow students from different time zones to connect. Please find the Zoom link for you to join this virtual visit below.
