      Scitags DC24 Summary

      Packet marking

      - Scitags RCS-IT: project proposal to deploy Scitags in production in collaboration with WLCG and CERN storage team was discussed last week

      - Firefly (R&E) dashboards 
         - Now that DC24 is over we can check deployment at Jisc
         - Updated ESnet dashboard:
              - Has exp/act shown correctly
              - New filter for site selection 
              - Flow duration graphs
         - TODO: Transfer rates (bytes/duration)

      - Collectors
          - DC24: Scalability testing of the ESnet collector 
          - Andy proposed an updated architecture for sofware collectors
              - We would rely on Kafka bus to exchange traffic between collectors (instead of UDP, see screenshot attached)
          - New (site)collector developed and deployed at CERN during DC24
              - Uses UDP input plugin instead of beats+syslog, more efficient (no file reads)
              - Uses UDP output plugin to forward (can be used by Jisc to forward to ESnet)

      Storage developments:
      - Bugfixes in XRootd scitag HTTP headers  (in 5.6.7)
