      Xe+La MC production 10m
Speaker: Oleksandra Panova (Jan Kochanowski University (PL))

No difference in number of tracks in SHOE and NanoSHOE before and after Track status cut.

      PbPb MC Production 10m
Speaker: Mr Yehor Bondar (Jan Kochanowski University (PL))

      PbPb13 EPOS 16_053 v1r21p3-el9 Production, ~9.1M

From 160-200 events per .hepmc file, around ~80 survive as BeamSimulator sampling from shoe file gives a beam that does not hit Pb target -- 1cm in diameter.
Beam shoe was created with: T1 cut (see ~/MC/PbPb13MC/ExtractBeamSHOE), one Upstream BPD can miss, +- 25 microseconds WFA S11 cut, MainVertex z cut (+-1cm)

      Dear All,
Maja said you are familiar/responsible of PbPb13 2016 beam position.
During my progress in PbPb13 2016 MC prod, from 200 events per .hepmc file, around ~80 survive as BeamSimulator sampling from beam shoe file gives a beam that does not hit Pb target ( 1cm in diameter).
You can see XY main vertex position here
Beam shoe was created with Pb_Pb_13_16/043_17c_v1r21p0_pA_cc7_forTOFLR data prod (see ~/MC/PbPb13MC/ExtractBeamSHOE): Target in cut, T1 cut , one Upstream BPD can miss, +- 25 microseconds WFA S11 cut, MainVertex z cut ( - 591.9 cm +-1cm)
Do you have any comments on why the beam position seems to be so biased?
      Best, Yehor

      PSD in PbPb - PSD energy in Pb+Pb 30 (2016) 10m
Speakers: Andrey Seryakov (St Petersburg State University (RU)), Sergey Morozov (Russian Academy of Sciences (RU)), Mr Yehor Bondar (Jan Kochanowski University (PL))

      Sergey:

Andrey reported the problem based on the MC files produced by Yehor using EPOS (Pb+Pb 30 2016):

in the plot PSD energy vs impact parameter, there is a cloud at large b and small E_PSD (see slides in one of the previous meetings).

Sergey, using the EPOS generator, does not see the cloud. Thus, there is a disagreement between Yehor and Sergey's results.

We need to check the configuration and log files.

      Maja's suggestion: PSD position?

    • 14:30 14:40
      MC size reduction 10m
Speakers: Maja Mackowiak-Pawlowska (Warsaw University of Technology (PL)), Oleksandra Panova (Jan Kochanowski University (PL)), Mr Yehor Bondar (Jan Kochanowski University (PL)), Yuliia Balkova (University of Silesia (PL))

Production of nanoSHOE files for ArSc Luminance MC for all energies is done. Full miniSHOE productions are removed from EOS.

Q: Should the same be done for beam mode?
