APC Section meeting

Present: Ana Godinho, Monica Bello, Zoe Nikolaidou, Daria Dvorzhitskaia, Dante Larini, Xenia Harder

Absent: Valeria Pietropaolo, Ana Prendes 

 

APC

• Ana is setting up and will be chairing a working group on the use of AI in education, communications and outreach at CERN. The goal is to draw up guidelines/policy for the ECO group and other teams across CERN. Each section has been asked to rpopsoe a member of the WG.
  
  • Dante volunteered to join for APC.
• Zoe's roles and responsibilities
  • Until end-June: Admin support for ECO (as currently); Local comms (except FCC local comms); Public Events Programming (with Dante)
  • From July: Local comms (except FCC local comms); Public Events Programming (Dante will be Zoe's supervisor) + support in organising SLMs and ECO Group Meetings (thank you, Zoe)
  • As of November: Public Events programming + support in organising SLMs and ECO Group Meetings 

 

Arts at CERN:

• Press/ Media updates for S+T+ARTS Grand Prize being prepared - June 11. Fabiola Gianotti's quote (tbc)
• Jury meeting Connect India - next Tuesday 28 May, 2024, in collaboration with Pro Helvetia and ICTS, Bangalore.
• Artist Rosa Barba and her studio will be here next week for the new commission for Science gateway - 2026

  • S+T+ARTS Grand Prize - showcase of awardees - September 4-8, 2024. Linz, Austria

  • New artwork by collective AATB at the building 33, opening in August 1st, 2024
