9:00 AM → 9:30 AM Introduction to the Standard Model of Fundamental Physics

Very basics of elementary particles and the Standard Model (with just the tiniest touch of very-intro cosmology), at a level for eager high school students.

Speaker: Mr Takahiro Uzu (University of Victoria)

9:30 AM → 10:00 AM CERN virtual site visit (w/ Dilia Portillo Quintero)

Questions for Taka (and Caleb and me) for 10' or so; then a 15' video-visit to the ATLAS control room with TRIUMF scientist Dilia Portillo Quintero (with 5' for questions).

Speaker: Dilia Maria Portillo Quintero (TRIUMF (CA))
