The main scope of procurement on mock up s and magnetic mirror were discussed as the associated deadlines.
The actual design of the mirror benck (2.2 m long) was designed last year with an assembled machined shell (2.2m) which shall be used to test some valid 11T model coils ( 2 m long)
Due to the fact that shell is already manufactured, this imposes to install vertically for simplicity each of the half yokes by crane into the vertical shell.
The height limit under hook is 4.7 m in 927 which imposes to perform the tilt and vertical insertion operation in 180. ( Actual design requires a total height of 4.2 m + height of support ). Each half yoke is assembled on a frame in 927 then transported, machined from workshop.
Once both halves yoke are assembled in the shell and secured, the assembly shall be tilted back horizontally for a transport to 927 for next loading preloading steps.
