Presents: CERN IT Auth devs team, Ale Di Girolamo, plus Oana and Caroline.

  • From CERN IT side we are technically ready for the deployment in production of the new system which will send an email to each new account created (in the last N days) and not activated. For now this is going to be set as disabled (i.e. nothing will happen).
  • Caroline will follow up (she’s already doing this – thanks) on the communication channels that needs to be warned of the change, plus the admin eguide changes.
  • More details on the testing done:
    • Interface tested is already the same of the one used by Service Desk. Created fake entries in the Foundation view. From there: creation of account w AD, email sent to this fake person email address, clicking the link brings you to the page. All test successful, we believe these are already good enough, we will discuss w FAP-BC if anything else could be done.
  • We have to agree with you all on the exact date on when we will enable (more tests can be done, dry run, etc.). We want to wait today’s meeting between FAP-BC  tech experts and CERN IT tech experts to have a more clear estimate on when FAP-BC can implement the changes in EDH checkbox. We hope it can be mid-june.
There are minutes attached to this event. Show them.
