      Brainstorming guide

SC pulsed magnets could bring an important reduction of losses in the RCS, but is it really worth? That would depend upon the relative weight in the cost of losses and the powering system.
The RCS seems to be very expensive in capital investments for the fixed field SC magnets and the powering system. As there is no clear gain, from the powering point of view, in going from NC to SC pulsed magnets, one could analyze whether SC could allow increasing the dipole field maximum value.
What impacts would such possibility have on the overall design of the RCS?
What would that mean for the powering system and fixed field SC magnets cost?

Also, in order to conclude on comparison between SC and NC dipoles at 1.8T, shouldn't we create a comparison table with costs and performances?
