      CaR board v1.5

      • Production
        • Order for 31 boards is now officially received by Safiral
        • Payment details were resolved internally between purchasing office and Safiral
        • Safiral informed us that the order for components is now out. They will inform us delivery time of board as soon as components are received
        • Access to design and production files on the Gitlab repository (link)
        • Financial contribution from RD50 and DRD3 is still to be confirmed. Users will be informed as soon this is clarified.
      • Testing
        • Need to prepare for functional testing
        • Tests done at BNL are a bit tedious to be deployed for a large batch of boards
        • Need to think of an alternative test approach and brainstorm list of tests to be perfomed to assess the functionality of the board
    • 16:35 17:00
      Firmware 25m
Speakers: Eric Buschmann (Brookhaven National Laboratory (US)), Tomas Vanat (Deutsches Elektronen-Synchrotron (DE)), Younes Otarid (CERN)

      Caribou OS

      • Focused on boot image generation for ZCU102 and ZC706 using petalinux:
        • ZCU102:
          • Successful build
          • Successful boot
          • Board is accessible on network and includes both Peary and EUDAQ (for now as apps not as Yocto recipies)
          • Next steps:
            • Apply device tree patches to support I2C switching
            • Figure out the workflow for updating Peary, EUDAQ and firmware bitfiles. Might have to move to Yoco recipies and keep the same original workflow but using the petalinux-devtool
        • ZC706:
          • Successful build
          • Issue booting. Still investigating
          • Next steps:
            • Fix booting issue
        • Test can be done using the adaptor board on the ZCU102
