WP12 Meeting Minutes, 2024-07-03

Introduction

We decided for the next meeting on 18th September.

Tracking deliverable is very close (October). Frank and Graeme will meet with Hadrien to address any concerns.

Turnkey Software

Simulation

Fake VAE? This is just to test integration of the workflow, which is working correctly.

"CaloClouds fixed" has some fixes to the geometry in DD4hep (better hit placement) as well as stochastic inference. Training BiBAE and CaloClouds on the same Geant4 versions and datasets will help with comparison.

CaloDiT will also be integrated into the DDFastShowerML library.

Track Reconstruction

Particle Flow Reconstruction

Quite some "hacks" in the build process for APRIL in Pandora - will these be removed? John will follow up on this point.

Is the 3D reconstruction improved from earlier this year? Not yet, it's still the same 2.8D reconstruction that doesn't fully use the y-coordinate information. There is a plan to work on this after the summer. -> Hope that results can be ready for the deliverable in December.
