==========================================
Welcome to the second lecture of the CN Juniors' Lecture Series. This session is designed to help ALICE China Juniors understand the development and latest upgrades of the ALICE detector, including the Forward Electromagnetic and Hadronic Calorimeter (FoCal) and the third-generation Inner Tracking System (ITS3) to be implemented in the RUN4 phase. The course aims to enhance communication and mutual understanding between the data analyst and the hardware people, as well as to comprehend the structure and functionality of the detector.
Today's speakers are Shihai from the China Institute of Atomic Energy and the University of Copenhagen, and Chunzheng from Fudan University. Shihai has been extensively involved in the hardware development of FoCal, understanding the details from detector design to testing processes. Chunzheng primarily focuses on the physical performance study of ITS3, as well as the characterization and digitization of the silicon pixel detector
For convenience, this lecture will primarily be conducted in Chinese.
We would like to thank the ALICE Juniors’ representatives and the ALICE Juniors community for their strong support of this event.
