Outdoor top rope climbing course - CANCELLED

This is the sign-up for an introductory outdoor course focusing on top rope climbing.

The course will be held by a professional instructor from Cortigrimpe climbing gym:

550 rue du Mont Blanc,
01630 Saint-Genis Pouilly, France

The course will take place at 'la Goulette' crag in Mijoux which is around 40 min drive from CERN. The meeting point will be at the Corti gym on Saturday 03.08 at 9:00 in the morning. Participants are expected to carshare to the crag.

The course fee is 60 EUR. You can pay the fee as described on the registration page. Your registration is only valid once we recieved your payment and we will come back to you once your registration is complete.

You are expected know about top rope climbing indoors and how to belay properly. You should know how to top rope belay, how to tie in with an eight knot and how to do a double check with your partner.

Please bring your harness, belay device and climbing shoes. If you have, please also bring a helmet. If you are missing some gear, Corti will lend you some.

If you realise in the meantime that you won't make it for the course in the end, drop us a message so that we can give the spot to people on the waiting list.

DISCLAIMER:

The CERN Climbing Club is only gathering the information and is taking care of organisational steps that are necessary before the course. The course itself is organised and executed by Cortigrimpe (see above).

The course could be cancelled due to bad weather, you would then get a full refund.
